Budget Title: Instructional Support Associate (SL2)
Salary: $41,000 per year (college-year)

The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the educational mission of the Chemistry Department by:
- Preparing and setting up laboratory instruments, chemicals, and reagents for instructional chemistry courses
- Managing the daily distribution and disposal of chemicals used in laboratory sessions
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to laboratory equipment and chemicals
- Assisting in the oversight of chemistry stock rooms
- Helping to manage shared laboratory spaces
- Acquiring knowledge of essential laboratory safety protocols and waste disposal procedures
- Providing guidance and training to student employees
- Supporting and supervising undergraduate students and graduate teaching assistants during lab activities
- Contributing to the creation of new laboratory exercises
- Participating in relevant institutional functions, including departmental and university committees
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related discipline is required
- Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs is necessary
- Core working hours for this position are from 11 AM to 7 PM to align with instructional requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with laboratory safety standards and waste disposal protocols
