Residential Support Specialist

Job Summary
Thresholds is seeking a compassionate and skilled Residential Support Specialist to join our team. As a Residential Support Specialist, you will work one-on-one and in groups with young adults experiencing mental health challenges in a residential setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients in learning and practicing skills related to relationships, school success, recreational activities, health and wellness, and day-to-day living.
- Ensure safety by helping youth regulate and safely express their emotions, including using Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) skills.
- Teach independent living skills like hygiene and housekeeping, help residents prepare meals, model relationship building skills, and coach youth on coping skills.
- Document client progress and experiences, including success with medication management and recovery process.
Requirements
- Possession of a high school diploma or GED certificate, at least 5 years of direct service experience in the mental health field, and at least 25 years of age.
- Associates degree or higher in a related field and at least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver's license and ability to perform Therapeutic Crisis Intervention therapeutic restraint techniques.
What We Offer
- Competitive pay - $20.75 - 23.00 per hour / $43,160 - 47,840 annually, subject to increase based on education and experience.
