Job Title: Night Auditor

Job Summary:

The Night Auditor is a critical role within the hotel's front office team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions during the overnight shift. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct nightly audits of financial transactions, including cash handling, credit card processing, and room revenue.
  • Prepare and balance daily reports, including revenue, expenses, and cash handling.
  • Perform front desk operations, including guest registration, room assignments, and customer service.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including cash handling, credit card transactions, and room inventory.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including housekeeping, food and beverage, and security, to ensure seamless hotel operations.
  • Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to financial transactions or hotel operations.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial software.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Working Conditions:

The Night Auditor will work primarily in a fast-paced hotel environment, with frequent interactions with guests, colleagues, and management. The position requires the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision, with a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:

The Night Auditor will be required to stand for long periods, lift light objects, and use a computer for extended periods. The position requires good vision, hearing, and communication skills.
