Job Summary

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a strong foundation in nursing principles, critical thinking, and effective communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' physical, psycho-social, emotional, cultural, spiritual, and discharge needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care, taking into account patients' unique needs and circumstances.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Recognize and respond to life-threatening situations, utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Connecticut.
  • AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification or equivalent within 3 months of hire.
  • NVCIT (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training) certification or within 3 months of hire.
