The Cardiac Catheterization Radiology Technologist will work in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory under the guidance of the Manager and Medical Director. Responsibilities include providing care for adult and geriatric patients during cardiovascular procedures, ensuring quality control of equipment, and maintaining confidentiality.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct, and evaluate patient care using critical thinking skills to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Operate radiographic equipment and assist in invasive procedures, adhering to strict safety protocols.
  • Support staff professional development and educational activities to enhance team performance.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, ensuring seamless operation of the laboratory.
  • Ensure radiation safety and provide 24-hour service for procedures, prioritizing patient well-being.
  • Pursue personal and professional growth and development to stay current with industry advancements.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists.
  • Current license in the State of Illinois.
  • Three years of experience in cardiac catheterization laboratory.
  • CPR and ACLS certification required.
  • Knowledge of life-threatening arrhythmias.
