Job Title: Infant / Toddler / Preschool Teacher

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 0-5 years. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and be able to develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum.
  • Assume responsibility for the classroom and ensure a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • Provide responsive caregiving and support the development of children's social, emotional, and cognitive skills.
  • Document children's progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to child development.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices in early childhood education.

Requirements:

  • Working towards an AA, BA or MA in Early Childhood Development, Human Development or related field.
  • 24 units in child development and 3 Infant/Toddler units.
  • Certificates, licenses and registrations required: CPR Infant & Child Certification, First Aid Certification, current immunization shots.
  • Computer skills required: Internet Software, Word Processing Software (Word).
  • Other skills required: strong knowledge of child development theory, experience with current developmentally appropriate play-based child early childhood practices, 1-year experience working with children or 6 months working in an infant room.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, utilize hand and finger dexterity, climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl.
