Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Tax Director to join our team at Seth & Associates CPA, PLLC. This is a strategic leadership role that requires a seasoned tax professional with extensive experience in public accounting and a strong background in tax law.

Salary Range: $160,000-$180,000 per year

Job Responsibilities
  • Tax Planning & Compliance: Oversee the preparation and review of federal, state, and international tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals. Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and filing deadlines.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for tax-related matters. Provide strategic advice on tax planning, compliance, and other complex tax issues.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to foster their growth and development. Review staff work and ensure quality control.
  • Audit Support: Assist clients with IRS and state tax audits, provide audit defense strategies, and work closely with internal teams to resolve audit issues.
  • Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing client relationships and actively participate in new business proposals. Represent the firm at networking events, industry conferences, and client meetings.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required). Master's degree in Taxation or an MBA (preferred).
  • Certifications: Active CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license required. Other certifications such as Enrolled Agent (EA) are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in tax within public accounting, including substantial experience with corporate tax, individual tax, and international tax matters. At least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
