Amazon Delivery Station Warehouse Associate Overview
Become a vital part of the Amazon team at the delivery station, the final point before we bring joy to our customers.
In this dynamic and engaging role, you will receive trucks filled with orders and prepare them for delivery. Your responsibilities will include loading conveyor belts and staging deliveries for drivers.
You may also work with larger items, such as televisions, furniture, and appliances, and receive training on how to manage these heavy bulk products using advanced technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and organize inventory for delivery
- Utilize technology, including smartphones and handheld devices, to sort, scan, and prepare orders
- Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and packages
Additionally, you should be capable of:
- Lifting up to 49 pounds
- Receiving truck deliveries
- Following on-screen prompts and directions for various tasks
- Standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching during shifts
- Using carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other equipment to move items
- Working at heights of up to 40 feet on a mezzanine (if applicable)
Work Environment:
You will be surrounded by moving machinery, including order pickers, stand-up forklifts, turret trucks, and mobile carts. Some tasks may require prolonged standing, walking, or climbing stairs. Temperature can vary between 60°F and 90°F in different areas of the warehouse, and on particularly hot days, it may exceed 90°F in certain locations.
Noise Level: The work environment can be noisy at times, and hearing protection is available if needed.
Dress Code: A relaxed dress code is in place, with specific safety rules. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are mandatory, and protective footwear is required in certain areas.
Depending on your role or location, Amazon may provide a gift code towards the purchase of shoes to ensure you are prepared for your first day.
