Our approach emphasizes collaboration with nursing home staff and residents, ensuring comprehensive care through focused assessments of patient wounds.
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Physician Assistant who thrives in a team-oriented environment within a rapidly expanding national organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain active medical licenses in the region (IWC will facilitate any necessary additional licenses)
- Perform administrative tasks while fostering strong relationships with the facilities served by IWC
- Provide coverage for nursing homes as needed, based on facility requirements
- Travel is a component of this role
- All incurred expenses will be reimbursed by IWC
- Work schedule is Monday to Friday – no weekend hours or overnight calls
- Receive comprehensive training under the guidance of the Medical Director to acquire in-depth knowledge of wound care, including diagnosis, treatment, and bedside procedures
- Act as a consultant in nursing homes for IWC
Collaborate with facility personnel to design and implement effective wound care programs.
Serve as a consultant for facility staff on all aspects of wound care management.
Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients with complex wound conditions.
Provide training and education to facility staff on best practices and emerging treatments in wound care.
Participate in wound care rounds with facility staff, offering recommendations for treatment plans.
Monitor the progress of wound healing and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Act as a knowledgeable resource for facility staff regarding wound care inquiries and concerns.
Qualifications:
Current Physician Assistant License.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in wound care management.
Strong understanding of wound care management practices and standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Strong organizational and analytical capabilities.
Willingness to travel 2-3 days per week.
