The suite of insurance solutions offered by RCIS encompasses various named-peril options, supplemental coverages, stand-alone products, and federal crop insurance plans endorsed by the United States Department of Agriculture's Risk Management Agency. Working alongside RCIS agents, our goal is to protect the livelihoods of farmers and ranchers nationwide.
The ideal candidate should reside within a 100-mile radius of the following Montana counties: Richland, Dawson, McCone, Prairie, Wibaux, Custer, or Fallon.
RCIS provides essential insurance coverage and premium services through dedicated agents to support American agricultural producers. Since the federal government privatized crop insurance in 1980, RCIS has led the way in the industry. Today, as one of the foremost crop insurance providers in the nation, it offers extensive risk management solutions across all states, utilizing a network of approximately 4,000 trained and licensed agents.
This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact within the agricultural sector.
Key Responsibilities for the Agricultural Risk Assessment Specialist:
- Perform field evaluations, which include analyzing maps and aerial imagery, measuring fields and storage facilities, and reviewing crop loss assessments with farmers.
- Investigate crop damage, document findings, and provide accurate loss information to evaluate potential damages.
- Deliver outstanding service to clients, including agents and policyholders (farmers).
- Employ company software to electronically relay claims data from the field to RCIS for prompt and accurate processing.
- Comply with regulatory standards, company policies, and procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and a minimum of 6 months of experience in the agricultural sector.
- Certification in the Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program (CAPP) within 180 days of employment.
- Access to reliable personal transportation for travel within the designated territory.
- Possession of a valid Driver's License.
- Physical capabilities required for an RCIS Crop Adjuster, including walking in agricultural fields up to 3 miles, climbing agricultural storage bins up to 25 feet, lifting 25-50 lbs., and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Crop Claims Field Adjuster.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Effective organizational and prioritization skills.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
