Plains All American (PAA) is a leading transportation and midstream provider specializing in solutions for crude oil and natural gas liquids (NGLs). We own a network of pipeline transportation, terminalling, storage, and gathering assets in key crude oil and NGL producing basins and transportation corridors in the United States and Canada. We are seeking a highly-motivated individual to join our team as an HSE Specialist III. This role will report to the Regional HSE Manager and be responsible for environmental and regulatory compliance activities, as well as providing support for safety and security programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in external DOT and safety-related audits
- Support the review of asset records and maps associated with O&M system descriptions
- Assist with internal compliance assessments
- Assist with spill reporting and incident response
- Support annual Tier II chemical inventory reporting
- Coach and mentor Plains safety policies in the field
- Conduct incident investigations for company employees and contractors
- Work with the Security Director to implement security plans for the district
- Participate in project kick-off meetings
- Provide contractor safety oversight, including operation contractors and major projects
This position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on safety and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Science, or a related technical discipline, or 5+ years of field-related experience.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean abstract
- Cleared criminal history and satisfactory reference checks
- Compliance with the Company's drug and alcohol policy, including pre-employment D&A testing
