Benchmark Human Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapeutic Mentor to join our Georgia Community Action Treatment (CAT) program. As a Therapeutic Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting youth and families in crisis, helping them to develop the skills and strategies needed to maintain improvements made during services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide one-on-one sessions to youth and their families to address issues related to daily living, social skills, and communication techniques
- Assist in the completion of assessments, treatment/care plans, safety plans, and crisis debriefing with the youth and family
- Facilitate communication among the CAT team, youth, family, and other service agencies involved regarding home, academic, and/or vocational related needs
- Comply with all standards to ensure the health, safety, and respect of consumers we serve
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working with youth up to age 21 years old with mental illness, emotional disorders, and substance-related disorders who are experiencing emotional or behavioral crisis
- Valid driver's license
