Nurse Practitioner

As a Registered Nurse at Kaiser Permanente, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate nurse to join our team in providing high-quality patient care.
This role will involve practicing professional nursing by performing both independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards. You will be responsible for initiating and performing nursing care through health promotion, supportive or restorative care, disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of human disease, ailment, pain, injury, deformity, and physical or mental condition.
You will work closely with our healthcare team to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care. This will involve evaluating health status through the collection and assessment of health data, analyzing reports and records, and using data to identify health care problems and create plans. You will also prioritize patient needs, triage patients, and implement proper courses of action in accordance with established protocols or in consultation with providers.
In addition to providing direct patient care, you will also be responsible for executing delegated medical functions, administering intravenous therapy and other medications, and providing therapy and treatment that is supportive and restorative to life and well-being. You will work collaboratively with our healthcare team to facilitate the coordination and integration of care between healthcare services and manage populations of patients to ensure appropriate utilization of healthcare resources.

Essential Responsibilities:
This position requires the ability to work with interruptions, hazardous waste, radiant energy, hands in water, and around moving equipment such as wheelchairs. You may be required to lift patients using proper lifting techniques and must be able to read a display terminal, fine print, and gauges while monitoring patient equipment. You may also be required to lift and carry up to 15 pounds throughout the workday.
Basic Qualifications:
Graduate of a board-approved RN program and completed a minimum of 750 clock hours of faculty-planned clinical experience and guided learning activities. High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required. Registered Nurse License (Colorado) required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support certifications preferred.
Additional Requirements:
Demonstrated customer service skills, customer focus abilities, and the ability to understand Kaiser Permanente customer needs. May be required to work variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
National Provider Identifier (NPI) and Taxonomy code at time of hire preferred and is required for some specialties. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification preferred and is required for some specialties. Knowledge with radiology procedures, QA monitoring, documentation, and evaluation, IV skills, and EKG recognition and interpretation preferred.
