Position Summary:

As the on-site manager at our UNC Chapel Hill campus, you will lead a dedicated group of care managers and social workers within our Woman's and Children's Team. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in pediatrics.

Preference will be given to individuals who are Registered Nurses (RN) or Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW) with experience in acute hospital settings.

This position offers a Monday to Friday schedule during standard business hours, with an on-call rotation approximately every five weeks.

Additionally, this role qualifies for a $5,000 sign-on bonus and a $10,000 commitment incentive.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily operations of the Clinical Care Management Department, ensuring effective direction for Case Managers, Utilization Managers, Clinical Social Workers, and support staff.
  • Foster a culture of excellence in customer service by mentoring and supporting team members.
  • Facilitate regular communication through team meetings and collaborative activities, enhancing relationships with other departments.
  • Oversee fiscal management by monitoring budgets and team productivity, making recommendations for improvements.
  • Collaborate with leadership to set and achieve departmental goals aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Conduct personnel management tasks, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and compliance with hospital guidelines.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Must possess one of the following degrees: MSW, MSN, MHA, MBA, or MHI.
  • Licensure: RN, LCSW, or LCSWA required.
  • Experience: A minimum of five years in care management, utilization management, or related fields, with at least two years in a leadership role. Pediatric experience is highly preferred.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and operational standards.
