We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at i4 Search Group. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping patients recover from injuries and manage pain. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing therapy equipment, assisting patients with exercises, and sanitizing therapy areas.
Key Responsibilities- Counsel patients and their families on post-treatment care.
- Observe patients before, during, and after therapy sessions and report notes to the Physical Therapist.
- Assign exercises for patients and assist them in completing these exercises.
- Use devices and equipment to help patients regain movement and reduce pain.
- Apply various techniques, including stretching exercises and massage, to treat patients.
- Assist patients with mobility and provide support during therapy sessions.
- Take consistent notes on patient progress and health status for the Physical Therapist to review.
- Perform clerical duties, such as scheduling appointments and sanitizing therapy rooms.
- Associate degree in a Physical Therapy Assistant program (PTA) required.
- PTA Certification required.
- New graduates welcome, but one year of experience preferred.
- CPR Certification required.
- Ability to lift patients and assist with mobility.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassion and empathy.
- Good attention to detail.
- Solid knowledge of anatomy.
- Knowledge of PT stretches and exercises.
