Ascendum Solutions is in search of an experienced Solutions/Application Architect who possesses a robust background in system architecture and significant expertise in application development, cloud technologies, and systems integration. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and advocating architectural frameworks, addressing intricate technical issues, and guiding teams to guarantee the delivery of high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute the strategic plan for Enterprise Architecture, including the establishment of standards and guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with technology teams and business stakeholders to design and architect new applications, ensuring they meet project specifications and timelines.
  • Evaluate and ensure the integrity of architecture/design documentation and technical methodologies across various technology stacks.
  • Guide teams on best practices for design, implementation, and testing to enhance code quality and maintainability.
  • Articulate technical solutions to stakeholders and prepare essential documentation.
  • Uphold architecture standards and governance, which includes creating architecture diagrams and ensuring adherence to security protocols.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in IT, with 5-8+ years in an architectural capacity.
  • Expertise in application development using Java, Golang, or Python, with a focus on microservices and Kubernetes.
  • Deep understanding of cloud platforms (primarily AWS) and SecDevOps methodologies.
  • Skilled in system representation utilizing UML or C4.
  • Familiarity with Agile/JIRA best practices for project execution.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of authentication and authorization standards (OpenID, SAML, OAuth, JWT, etc.) and IT architectural frameworks (TOGAF).
  • Understanding of service mesh and TechRadar methodologies.
  • Capability to maintain application roadmaps and align them with long-term strategic objectives.
