About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to join our team at US Foods. As a Fleet Mechanic, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our diesel equipment fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose complex issues with diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, bobtails, and refrigerated units.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Document all repair orders, maintenance activities, and parts inventory in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our drivers and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure seamless operations and efficient use of resources.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of verifiable experience as a heavy duty commercial diesel mechanic or reefer mechanic.
  • Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals and service documentation.
  • CDL A and DOT certification preferred.
