Job Summary

Supports the daily operations of mechanical equipment through technical expertise. Performs preventative maintenance on mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performs tasks with tools to fit and adjust mechanical equipment.
  • Lays out work based on verbal instructions and maintains records.
  • Responsible for repairs to equipment, including valves, pipework, and pressure valves.
  • Maintains required supplies, tools, and troubleshooting equipment.
  • Assists with repairs or replaces malfunctioning equipment or parts.
  • Responsible for adjustments on various equipment.
  • Expected to operate hand tools with precision.
  • Follows all work safety policies and procedures.
  • Experience in logistics and mechanical service.
  • Ability to travel frequently.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications
  • One year of refinery plant experience.
  • Knowledge of mechanical principles and tools.
  • Familiarity with mechanical systems.
  • Skills in maintaining and repairing mechanical systems.
  • Ability to travel approximately 70% of the time.
  • Active TWIC, Driver's License, and US Passport.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Physical Requirements
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee must repeatedly stand, stoop, speak, listen, and use hands to seize, grip, hold, reach, turn, lift, or carry objects 50 lbs. or more, and use equipment requiring high dexterity.
  • Specific hearing and vision abilities required by this job include good hearing and good near and distant vision.

Working Environment
  • Potential exposure to dust (chemical and environmental), fumes (chemical and fluids), exhaust, and highly pressurized fluids. (Respiratory protective equipment will be provided if required.)
  • Occasionally work under extreme climate conditions (excessive high heat index of 95+ Fahrenheit, 98% humidity, and sub-zero weather)
  • The noise in the environment is quiet, but some equipment will be above 95 decibels.
