Job Title: Senior Process Engineer

Job Summary:

The Addison Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to lead our process engineering team. As a Senior Process Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining process books, specifying equipment and instruments, and providing technical guidance to junior engineers.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain process books, including conceiving flow schemes, simulating units, and developing PFDs, MFDs, and P&IDs.
  • Specify all equipment, lines, and instruments, and check junior engineer's work.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and assist in the development of technical proposals.
  • Participate in the startup of industrial facilities and train client personnel.
  • Develop, configure, and optimize industrial processes from inception through to start-up.
  • Assess unit performance, including data collection and interpretation.
  • Implement process control standards and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Highly knowledgeable and demonstrated ability to comply with Design & Development Procedure (PRI-ENG-PCD-0004).
  • Product pool evaluation expertise.
  • Background in process engineering support to Technical Services staff or operating units.
  • Proficient in use of process simulation modelling tools (Pro II), including troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge and application of safety methodology and reviews (Process Hazards Analysis, Layers of Protection Analysis, etc.), including safeguarding.
  • Awareness of project economic analysis and use of economics models.
  • Ability to travel globally up to twenty percent (20%).
  • Ability to carry out weekly telecommunication with client and EPC.
  • Be familiar with and capable of implementing the Management of Change process.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical or petroleum engineering required, Masters preferred.
  • More than ten (10) years refining/petrochemical industry experience plus demonstrated ability to work on multiple assignments independently; assume role of Lead Engineer and process supervisor.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Analytical and decision-making skills.
