Role Overview:
The selected Physician Assistant will work closely with Dr. Brusalis, a specialist in complex and minimally invasive shoulder surgeries. Responsibilities will include:
  1. Conducting initial and follow-up patient evaluations.
  2. Managing office tasks and assisting in the operating room.
  3. Providing patient and family education regarding surgical procedures.
  4. Addressing pre-operative and post-operative inquiries.
  5. Acting as the primary surgical assistant during operations.

Work Environment:
This position does not require weekend shifts or overnight calls. However, effective collaboration with both outpatient staff and inpatient teams is crucial for delivering high-quality patient care.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current New York State PA License.
  • BLS/ACLS certification.
  • NCCPA board certification.
  • Infection Control Certification and completion of a child abuse recognition course.

Additionally, strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit are essential. Previous surgical experience or training is preferred.
