Shift Details: Day shifts, 12-hour shifts, 48 hours per week, rotating weekends, no on-call duties.
Position Length: 26 weeks
Qualifications:
- Current State License
- Minimum of 1 year of experience
- Experience with cardiac drips (e.g., Cardizem, Amiodarone), insulin drips, and heparin drips (training provided)
- Skills in tracheostomy care, chest tube management, and general medical-surgical procedures (wound care, IV antibiotics, drain management, IV starts, central line management, etc.)
- Previous charge nurse experience is highly desirable
- BCLS certification
- ACLS certification
- NIHSS certification preferred
- EKG interpretation skills preferred
- First-time travelers are welcome
- Patient Ratios: 1:4-5
- Facility: 44 private and semi-private rooms
- Potential to float to various medical-surgical units
- Common patient diagnoses include stroke, COPD, respiratory illnesses, GI bleed, renal failure, electrolyte imbalances, altered mental status, and non-operable fractures.
