Job Summary:The Cardiac Catheterization Technologist will assist physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic invasive cardiology procedures in the catheterization laboratory. This includes preparing patients for procedures, operating imaging equipment, and maintaining a sterile environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Assist physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic invasive cardiology procedures
- Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the procedure and obtaining informed consent
- Operate imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy and ultrasound machines
- Maintain a sterile environment, including preparing and cleaning equipment and supplies
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program or Invasive Cardiovascular Technology program
- Current BCLS certification required within 30 days of start date and maintained
- ACLS certification required within 6 months of employment
- Active RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or RT licensure preferred
