JOB TITLE: Press Operator at Avery Dennison

  • Interprets job specifications and ensures all necessary production materials are available at the press before setup.
  • Executes standard setups on designated presses with a high level of skill.
  • Operates the press throughout the production cycle, making necessary adjustments and performing maintenance tasks.
  • Utilizes expertise in conducting preventative maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing corrective measures.
  • Completes all relevant documentation and collaborates with team members to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Analyzes processes to identify improvement opportunities and enhance product and process quality.
  • Maintains cleanliness within the department and provides assistance to other areas as needed.
  • Participates in various job functions based on organizational requirements.
  • Adheres to ISO Work Instructions and Operational Procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven ability in basic mathematical calculations.
  • Mechanical skills and understanding.
  • Capability to follow both verbal and written instructions effectively.
  • Proficient in using product overlay gauges and interpreting shop scales.
  • Able to lift, carry, push, pull, and maneuver specific weights.
  • Capacity to stand, stoop, and bend for extended periods.
  • Good color perception.
  • Basic computer skills for production reporting.
