About the Position

The Youth Therapist - K-12 School Counselor role at Greater Minnesota Family Services is a dynamic opportunity for a skilled and compassionate professional to make a lasting impact in the lives of children and families. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing counseling services, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with educators and other stakeholders to support student success.

Key Duties
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students and their families, addressing mental health concerns, behavior modifications, and social skills development.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students.
  • Participate in treatment planning and case management to ensure effective delivery of services.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify best practices and improve program outcomes.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field, with at least 2000 hours of experience working with children and families under the direct supervision of a licensed mental health professional.
  • A Master's degree in Human Services or related field is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including children, youth, and families from various cultural backgrounds.

Salary: $50,000 - $52,000 per year, depending on experience.
