About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced martial arts instructor to join our team at ActivStars Athletics, LLC. as a part-time Karate/Taekwondo Instructor. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching evening classes to students of various skill levels, from beginners to advanced ranks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver engaging martial arts classes, adhering to our curriculum guidelines.
  • Oversee class check-in, basic record-keeping, and promote tournaments, camps, or clinics.
  • Participate in paid training sessions to familiarize yourself with our teaching guidelines, records, and onsite training with a veteran instructor.
Requirements
  • Hold a Black Belt in a Traditional Forms-Based Style.
  • Have a passion for making a positive impact on children's lives.
  • Be at least 18 years old and possess a reliable vehicle for transportation.
Work Schedule
  • Typically work weekday evenings, between 5:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
  • Teach one to two days per week, with the possibility of additional days based on availability.
Compensation
  • Hourly pay ranges from $15 to $30+, based on student rate.
  • Average monthly earnings for instructors are $300 to $400, teaching just one day a week.
