Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CT Scan Technologist to join our team at Industrial Staffing Services Inc dba Equiliem. As a CT Scan Technologist, you will be responsible for performing computer tomography procedures and related techniques, producing sectional and three-dimensional images for interpretation, and assisting with interventional and therapeutic procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform complex CT procedures, using professional judgment when reviewing and obtaining patient clinical history.
- Prepare, screen, and review the accuracy of the contrast questionnaire with patients and/or family members.
- Identify and/or administer contrast media related to CT exams as prescribed by licensed practitioners.
- Review patient prescriptions to verify appropriateness of exams and communicate with Radiologists and Referring Physicians as needed.
- Responsible for calling physicians to clarify prescriptions and verifying insurance authorized exam scripts.
- Obtain outside studies, schedule them in EPIC, and provide exam copies to patients and requesting physicians.
- Evaluate radiographs using PACS System to ensure proper identification and diagnostic value.
- Use consistent and appropriate techniques to gather relevant information from medical records, significant others, and healthcare providers.
- Determine whether patients have been appropriately prepared for procedures.
Requirements:
- BLS certification required.
- Registered CT Tech or 2 years' experience performing CT scans.
- New York State DOH Licensed to inject contrast media.
- Siemens scanner proficiency.
- This position also requires the employee to perform X-rays.
