Phlebotomy Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Phlebotomist II to join our team at Quest Diagnostics in Indianapolis, IN. As a Phlebotomist II, you will be responsible for collecting specimens from patients, administering oral solutions, and performing various laboratory tasks.
Responsibilities- Collect specimens from patients, including blood samples, urine samples, and other biological materials.
- Administer oral solutions to patients as required.
- Verify patient information and test orders using lab technology systems and approved tools.
- Enter data accurately into computer systems and maintain accurate records.
- Process specimens, including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport.
- Perform non-patient facing duties, including inventory management, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, and answering phones.
- Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
- Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data as required.
- Maintain accurate phlebotomy logs and complete online and in-person training courses timely.
- Three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Keyboard/data entry experience.
- Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record, if applicable.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training, such as medical assistant or paramedic training, preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred, required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
