Position: Dual Licensed Operator (Water and Wastewater)

The Water/Wastewater Operator is responsible for the operation and maintenance of water treatment facilities at multiple locations. This role involves processing and testing equipment to ensure water purification meets regulatory and operational standards. The Operator is tasked with troubleshooting and diagnosing operational issues, implementing corrective measures as per established procedures and expertise. Responsibilities include monitoring flow meters, gauges, flow ratios, pressures, and related controls through instrument panels and programmable logic control units. Accurate documentation of operating conditions and data in the area shift log is essential. The Operator ensures adherence to process specifications and promptly reports any suspected malfunctions or variances to a supervisor. Routine and preventative maintenance tasks are performed as assigned, along with conducting field laboratory tests (chemical and physical) to determine appropriate chemical dosages for optimal process control. Compliance with all safety and environmental regulations is a top priority.

Qualifications

  • Possession of a Class C FDEP Water License and a C Waste Water Operator's License is required for consideration.
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.
