Key Responsibilities:
- Convert and refine various data sources into meaningful insights that facilitate informed business decisions, utilizing industry-leading practices in transformation, modeling, DevOps, and data governance.
- Lead initiatives to enhance our suite of semantic models and associated data products, employing cutting-edge technologies.
- Engage directly with business stakeholders to clarify requirements, iterate on designs, deliver functional proofs of concept, and develop and implement comprehensive data solutions.
- Collaborate with colleagues and adapt to shifting domain responsibilities as business needs change.
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering and/or semantic data modeling, with a proven track record in enterprise data platform tools.
- 5+ years of expertise in Microsoft semantic modeling tools, particularly Power BI, Fabric/Power BI Dataflows, Power Query in Excel, DAX Studio, Tabular Editor, Power BI Report Builder, and Analysis Services (with at least 1 year in Microsoft Fabric).
- Strong grasp of Microsoft Fabric components, architecture, and best practices.
- Proficient in database technologies such as SQL Databases, Azure Data Explorer/KQL Databases, Delta Lakes, and Fabric lakehouses/warehouses, alongside semantic modeling best practices and medallion architecture.
- Excellent coding skills in Power Query M language; familiarity with Python, SQL, and KQL is advantageous.
- In-depth knowledge of DAX and the operational mechanics of the analysis services engine.
- Experience with DevOps and Git methodologies.
Compensation: $170,000
