About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team at XIFIN. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting enterprise-level data ingestion and data pipeline using ETL tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and support complex ETL workflows and healthcare/financial datasets
  • Create technical design documents that capture source to target mapping, data transformation, and data quality rules
  • Understand project scope, identify activities, and task-level estimates, schedule dependencies, and risk
  • Analyze functional/non-functional requirements and seek clarifications
  • Combine/integrate data from various sources, cleanse, standardize, and load into OLTP, OLAP, and data warehouse targets
  • Identify and remediate problems in production pipelines and integration jobs
  • Prepare LLD/detailed design documents based on HLD
  • Partner with reporting, analytics, and machine learning teams on requirements and testing and troubleshooting
  • Mentor junior team members and perform code reviews and quality control

Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or another technical field
  • 1-3 years of professional experience as ETL/ELT developer
  • Strong SQL skills and ability to write Python code and shell scripting
  • Experience coordinating with Change Management and Incident Management teams for production issues
  • Ability to triage issues and take resolution steps immediately
  • Ability to create good written documentation of detailed technical processes
  • Experience with Talend, SAP DI, AWS S2, and Redshift, Oracle PL/SQL a plus
