Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Bartender to join our team at Shrimp Basket Holdings. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain complete knowledge of Shrimp Basket food and beverage preparation, menu, and specials.
  • Take orders for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and food items.
  • Prepare orders for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Able to use a computer to ring orders into a POS.
  • Refill drinks as requested by customers.
  • Able to accept different types of payment and make change.
  • Able to interact with customers, management, and co-workers in a friendly/fast manner.
  • Must be able to pass Responsible Vendor; Service of Alcohol test with a score of 90% or better (Alabama stores only).
  • Check identification of guests to ensure they are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages. Refuse to serve beverages in a polite manner to guests who are not of legal age and notify the manager.
  • Observe guests behavior and assist if overindulge has occurred (i.e. offer a taxi).
  • Treat customers with respect and always strive to exceed customers' expectations.
  • Helping customers be aware of and choose menu items, suggestively sell food and beverage items, taking orders, and making customers feel taken care of during their visit.
  • Keeping the bar stocked (beer, wine, and liquor) and clean while always providing friendly and attentive service.
  • Maintain a clean workstation.
  • Report to work in a neat and clean uniform. Well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential.
  • Maintain adherence to all Company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as directed by management.
  • Report to required meetings.

  • Must be of legal age according to State regulations to serve alcohol.
  • Basic mathematical, reading and writing skills.

  • Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
  • Must have good command of the English language, both oral and written.
  • Must be attentive.
  • Must report to work when scheduled and on time with a positive attitude.
  • Must complete Responsible Vendor training program (where applicable).
