Job Summary

We are seeking a part-time Chemistry Tutor to provide academic support to individual students and small groups. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemistry and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tutor and assist students in academic achievement by meeting with them individually or in small groups to help clarify course material and give suggestions and recommendations to improve study skills.
  • Assist students with course-related equipment and supplies.
  • Maintain records of students tutored as required under department guidelines.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student records in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
  • Ensure offices and files are adequately secured on a daily basis.
Requirements
  • Master’s degree including 18 graduate hours in chemistry or a related field.
  • One year of related experience.
Working Conditions

This position is part-time and typically requires working a maximum of 19.5 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
