Senior Radiographer

Boston Children\u2019s Hospital is seeking a skilled Senior Radiographer to join our team. As a key member of our imaging services department, you will be responsible for performing complex imaging examinations while ensuring a safe environment for patients.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiologic technology, with experience in performing a variety of imaging procedures. You will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating requisitions, abstracting data from patient charts, and determining the appropriateness of procedures prescribed.
Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying patients according to hospital policy, selecting appropriate equipment and technical factors, and assessing patients\u2019 physical and emotional status. You will also be responsible for explaining examinations to patients and parents, and answering questions regarding radiation exposure.
As a Senior Radiographer, you will be expected to follow departmental QC/data integrity workflow, practice high reliability training, and respond to the uniqueness of each patient. You will also be responsible for identifying and reporting equipment malfunctions, assisting in organizing and maintaining daily operations, and performing additional tasks as assigned.
The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
