Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of facilities, including staff, contractors, and vendors.
  • Direct and oversee the work of contractors, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, custodial, elevator, and life safety services.
  • Provide project review, monitoring, and inspection of facility renovation and new construction projects.
  • Serve as an essential employee for emergency operations affecting university operations.
  • Ensure work order requests are addressed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Requirements:

  • Over 8 years of professional experience in facilities management and mechanical building trades.
  • 5 plus years of supervisory experience, leading and managing teams.
  • A two-year college degree with completion of a specialized course at a trade school required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience in developing and managing a substantial budget in a large organization.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety.
