Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Scientist/Geologist to join our team in New Jersey. As a key member of our environmental services team, you will be responsible for conducting environmental assessments and remediation tasks, as well as providing strategic management and support to our clients in all regions of the state.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and manage environmental investigation and remediation tasks, including ground water monitoring, soil boring/well installations, operation and maintenance, and other activities.
  • Perform field-based tasks, including coordination, supervision, and execution of work, such as collecting soil, sediment, water, and air samples, and overseeing drilling of soil borings and installation of monitoring wells.
  • Conduct Phase I Environmental Assessments and Preliminary Assessments.
  • Complete applicable company and client-required health & safety training and follow health & safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • 5 years of progressively more responsible environmental assessment and remediation work experience.
  • Experience in refinery/fuel storage terminal and manufactured gas plant settings is a plus.
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER (OSHA Hazardous Worker) certification and current 8-hour refresher certification are desired.
  • Geologist in Training (GIT) or Professional Geologist (PG) certification is preferred.
