Responsibilities:
As a Senior Installation Technician, you will be tasked with interpreting and executing installation specifications for a variety of construction projects.

Additionally, you will:
Assess floor plan layouts, manage power distribution, and ensure backup power supplies and cabling for central office equipment are in place.
Design, identify, and procure necessary components for establishing low- and high-level racking, transmission racking, power racking, aisle lighting, and grounding provisions.
Generate detailed and precise installation specifications and equipment requirements to meet customer orders.
Document or amend location records, drawings, bills of materials (BOM), installation notes, and memos to accurately reflect changes made during installation or engineering activities.

Possess familiarity with the specifications and drawings needed to assemble and integrate telecommunications transmission equipment within a Central Office setting.

Utilize hand tools essential for the installation of transmission equipment, including crimpers, wire wrap guns, strippers, wrenches, hammers, drills, stencils, etc.

Transport and manage tools/materials as necessary to the job site.

Provide guidance and supervision to junior installers regarding job progress, material shortages, customer feedback, and safety concerns.

Understand customer installation and quality standards, including IP72202.
Conduct self-quality checks on all aspects of your work before final sign-off.
Assemble, modify, and install overhead ironwork, relay racks, transmission equipment, and cable ladders.
Run power, signal, and ground cables to interconnect equipment.
Label installed equipment and terminations appropriately.
Establish and maintain a professional rapport with clients, supervisors, and colleagues.
Ensure accurate departmental paperwork is maintained as required.
Adhere to all safety and security protocols and contribute to a safe, hazard-free work environment.
Dress suitably for the work environment.
Exhibit proficiency in all phases of installation and testing of equipment to facilitate career advancement.
Review installation specifications thoroughly.

You are proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and can navigate company databases to update job statuses.
You can lift tools and equipment as required (minimum 10 lbs).
You are knowledgeable about customer specifications and standards.
You possess excellent communication skills—articulate clearly and persuasively in various situations; listen attentively and seek clarification; demonstrate group presentation skills.
You exhibit strong time management and organizational skills; plan work activities effectively; set achievable goals and objectives; develop realistic action plans.
You are reliable—follow instructions, respond to management direction, and honor commitments.
You are available to work nights.
You are willing to travel at least 25%.
