Job Summary:

As a Perioperative Nurse with St. Tammany Health System, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the operating room. This role requires a strong nursing background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and direct the surgical team members
  • Plan and direct the care of patients undergoing operative and invasive procedures
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care

Requirements:

  • Graduate from NLN accredited school of nursing
  • Current Louisiana RN license and current BLS, PALS and ALS certifications
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and take call according to unit specific standards

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One (1) year Operating Room or PACU experience
  • CNOR preferred if working in the Operating Room

Physical Demands:

  • Must possess good physical health
  • Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time
  • Lifting at least 50 pounds is required
