Core Responsibilities
As an Emergency Medical Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering both basic and advanced life support to patients in critical situations.
- Assessing, intervening, and stabilizing patients under the guidance of a physician or Registered Nurse.
- Executing interventions in accordance with established transport protocols, while monitoring and documenting patient conditions.
- Educating patients and their families about medical conditions and treatment plans.
- Ensuring the safety and functionality of medical equipment for the benefit of the transport team and patients.
Qualifications
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Paramedic certification from the relevant state authority required prior to employment.
- Advanced Life Support certification preferred.
- Specialized certifications in Neonatal Resuscitation and Pediatric Advanced Life Support are advantageous.
- A valid Driver's License from the appropriate state authority is preferred.
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable experience.
