Job Description:

The Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center seeks a highly skilled lifeguard to maintain a safe environment for its pool-goers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for enforcing pool rules, responding to emergencies, and providing exceptional customer service.

This is a part-time position, which includes opening morning shifts from 4:45am - 7:30am. These hours are paid at $3/hour more than non-opening hours, resulting in an estimated additional weekly income of $120.

To excel in this role, you must possess strong observational skills, be able to respond quickly in emergency situations, and provide clear instructions to members. You will also be responsible for updating the information board with current pool data and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain constant surveillance of the pool area and respond promptly to any incidents or concerns.
  • Enforce pool rules and regulations, providing clear guidance to members as needed.
  • Respond to all illness and injury incidents, providing timely and effective assistance.
  • Communicate effectively with members and guests, addressing their questions and concerns in a professional manner.
