Behavioral Health Unit Registered Nurse PRN

At Jennie Stuart Health, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Behavioral Health Unit team on a PRN basis.
Job Summary:The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.
Responsibilities:- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans, prioritizing patient needs and goals.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, including communication with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records, adhering to hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky or compact state.
- BLS Certification - American Heart Association (Healthcare Provider) or American Red Cross (Healthcare Provider) required.
- Experience in behavioral health or a related field preferred.
