About the Role

Atrium Health Navicent is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team in Macon, Georgia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under the supervision of radiologists, perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs.
  • Position patients and select exposure factors for radiologic examinations, ensuring accurate and safe imaging.
  • Communicate with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, and address any questions or concerns.
  • Review diagnostic imaging requests for appropriateness and communicate with radiologists for final approval.
  • Enter patient and study information into the radiology information system and document billing codes for procedures performed.
  • Assist and communicate with radiologists, working independently outside the department with providers.
  • Observe patients during radiologic exams and make appropriate interventions or contact primary caregivers for instruction.
  • Provide guidance, direction, and mentoring to other personnel, including student radiographers.
  • Maintain all required continuing education and applicable certifications for modality.
Requirements
  • High School or GED Diploma Graduate.
  • Graduate of a JRCERT-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT Registered or Registry eligible through the ARRT.
