Company Overview

Winston & Strawn's Chicago office is a leading law firm seeking a mid-level associate with 3-5 years of solid trusts and estates experience. The ideal candidate will have expertise in working with high net worth individuals in designing and drafting estate plans, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, premarital agreements, and other estate planning documents. This individual should be experienced in family limited partnerships and limited liability companies, shareholder agreements, installment sales, and related transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consult with and advise fiduciaries in probate and trust administration.
  • Work with clients in connection with contested trust and tax matters.
  • Review estate and gift tax returns, including complex reporting and valuation issues.
  • Assist clients in establishing private foundations and other charitable vehicles.

Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess excellent analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Admittance to the Illinois Bar is highly desirable.
