Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to take on a pivotal role within our client's organization. This position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including strategic planning, client engagement, project management, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of mechanical engineering services in a consulting environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective problem-solving strategies and project plans.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of mechanical systems, materials, and industry standards to support engineering teams.
- Familiarity with high-performance and sustainable building practices is highly desirable.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to facilitate project execution and support sales efforts.
- Participate in leadership meetings to discuss operational strategies and company objectives.
- Oversee the design and technical execution of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Assist in defining the scope and fees for proposed engineering services.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineering staff.
Qualifications:
- Registered Professional Engineer in the United States, with multi-state registration preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, including leadership roles.
- Experience in team management is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and plumbing codes, energy regulations, and related standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven client and project management capabilities.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to delegate effectively.
- LEED Accreditation is a plus but not mandatory.
