Job Summary

Townsen Memorial Hospital is a leading healthcare provider dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. We are seeking a part-time Patient Transporter to join our team at Townsen Memorial Surgery Center in Kingwood, TX.

The Patient Transporter plays a vital role in ensuring the safe and comfortable transportation of patients within the Surgical Center. This position requires a combination of independent work and teamwork, with a focus on prioritizing patient safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport patients between units and therapy areas, adhering to clinical staff instructions and prioritizing patient safety and comfort
  • Confirm patient identity before transportation and position patients and equipment correctly during transport
  • Monitor patient status and report any issues to clinical staff, maintaining and cleaning transportation equipment as needed
  • Report equipment issues to supervisor and perform other assigned duties
Requirements
  • Effective communication skills with various individuals, including patients, clinical staff, and other healthcare professionals
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
  • Physical stamina for frequent activity throughout shifts, with knowledge of proper patient care practices
  • Positive representation of Townsen Memorial Hospital, with a commitment to excellence in patient care
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED, with a strong foundation in healthcare principles and practices
