Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouseman/Stand-up Rider Reach HiLo Driver to join our team at General Trading, a leading grocery wholesale food distributor in Carlstadt, New Jersey. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for operating stand-up rider reach HiLo trucks to move products from the dock to the rack and from the rack to the picking location.

Responsibilities
  • Shift Schedule: Our permanent shift operates from Sunday to Thursday, with two schedules: 1:00pm - 9:30pm and 3:00pm - 11:30pm (excluding overtime).
  • Product Movement: You will be responsible for operating stand-up rider reach HiLo trucks to move products from the dock to the rack and from the rack to the picking location. This includes selecting full-case grocery and dairy products from warehouse pick slots using pallet jacks when necessary.
  • Pre-Shift Safety Check: You will be required to perform a pre-shift safety check on your equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Multi-Temperature Environment: You will work in a multi-temperature environment, which requires you to be able to adapt to different temperature conditions.
  • Productivity and Accuracy: You will be expected to meet weekly productivity standards and accuracy requirements.
  • Physical Demands: This role requires constant standing, walking, bending, and continuously lifting up to 60 pounds. You must also be able to read alpha and numeric codes.
  • Requirements: To be eligible for this role, you must be at least 18 years old and have 1 year of experience operating stand-up rider reach trucks. Stand-up rider reach truck certification is a plus, but not required. Electric pallet jack knowledge is also a plus, but not required.

Job Considerations
