Memorial Medical Center is seeking a skilled Cardiac Rehabilitation Nurse to join our team on a PRN basis. As a Cardiac Rehabilitation Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our cardiac rehabilitation program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborate with the care team to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluate learning needs of patients and/or families and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients and promote interventions to ensure patient rights are protected.
- Emphasize the importance of customer service and strive to provide immediate resolution of patient/consumer concerns and complaints.
- Demonstrate awareness of ethical/legal issues as applied to patients, self, and others.
- Articulate and model the values of caring and demonstrate a patient-centered focus.
- Assess patient pain and/or level of comfort and provide prompt intervention specific to the patient's needs.
- Accept and embody the role of leader at the point of care delivery.
- Maintain a focus on care and service to patients and families.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree and Master's degree preferred.
- Current license as an RN in New Mexico or compact license required; NM GN permit to practice acceptable for 90 days.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS certification required for areas where moderate sedation is performed.
- Experience within an Acute Care Facility preferred.
- Must maintain current certification and meet the standards of Memorial Medical Center.
