Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Maintenance Technician to join our team at Alutiiq Commercial Enterprises LLC. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our commercial kitchen equipment at the Florence Detention Center in Florence, Arizona.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine, preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance on air conditioning and refrigeration equipment, including commercial kitchen equipment.
  • Building Automation Systems: Maintain and repair Building Automation Systems (BAS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), and Direct Digital Controls (DDC) systems.
  • Equipment Evaluation: Evaluate equipment information to ensure conformity to industry standards.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Utilize GTI software, I-pads with FLIR cameras, and ultrasonic testing equipment to generate reports on specified equipment.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of full-time experience in the air conditioning and refrigeration trade as a HVAC/R technician in a commercial or institutional setting.
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Leadership Experience: At least two (2) years of leadership experience as a Lead Technician or Foreman.
  • Certifications: Possess one or more of the following certifications: North American Technician Excellence (NATE) HVAC Service Technician Certification, HVAC Excellence Professional Level Certification, or UA Star HVAC Mastery Certification.
Working Conditions

The position requires lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, and standing for extended periods of time, bending, pushing, pulling, some climbing, and balancing. Significant hand and finger dexterity is required. The environment is generally hazard-free but may include some exposure to dust and varying temperatures.

Security Clearance

The position requires a Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain upon hire) and U.S. citizenship.
