We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Art Teacher to join our team at EXCEL Academy. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning for students in grades 6-12.

• Develop and implement schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments that align with established guidelines and standards.
• Instruct and monitor students, providing individualized attention and support as needed.
• Use technology to support and differentiate instruction, enhancing student engagement and understanding.
• Manage student behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Provide constructive feedback on student work and assess student performance and development.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of student progress and development.
• Assign and grade classwork, homework, and assessments, ensuring fairness and consistency.
• Participate in department, school, and district meetings, contributing to collaborative planning and decision-making.

• Hold or be eligible for a valid Georgia Educator Certificate or meet the district's professional qualifications.
• Ability to work well with students, parents, staff, and the community, demonstrating exceptional integrity and commitment to confidentiality.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
• Physical ability to perform tasks involving prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
