Supervising Registered Nurse II Position

The State of California is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervising Registered Nurse II to join our team at Salinas Valley State Prison. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for planning, assigning, supervising, and evaluating the work of nursing and other assigned staff in a service line delivery area.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and evaluate the work of nursing and other assigned staff
- Plan, assign, and coordinate the work of nursing and other assigned staff
- Implement and monitor adherence to policies and procedures
- Apply supervisory rules and principles to resolve personnel issues
- Set goals for self and others and ensure the continuity of quality patient care
- Current license as Registered Nurse in California
- One year of experience in the California state service performing the duties of a Supervising Registered Nurse I, Correctional Facility
- Three years of experience in the California state service performing the duties of a Registered Nurse, Correctional Facility
- Three years of registered nursing experience within the last five years, one year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity, and two years of which must have been in a general acute care hospital
