Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and direct the daily operations of the Oncology Unit, ensuring seamless patient care and efficient unit functioning.
  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with physicians, administrators, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and educational programs to enhance patient care and staff development.
  • Monitor and evaluate unit performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to optimize patient care and unit efficiency.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting, with a focus on oncology.
  • Valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
  • Certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., Oncology Nursing Certification Commission) preferred.
